Ingredients

  • ½ head red or green cabbage, thinly sliced (I use a 1mm disc; see note below)
  • ½ diced red onion, diced (can sub white onion or shallot)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • handful of cilantro, chopped
  • juice of 3-4 limes
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp sugar
  • dash cayenne pepper (optional)
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Toss well, serve and enjoy.

Notes

You can use a food processor to prep the veggies. I use a 1 mm disc for the cabbage and then the blade for the garlic, onion and cilantro.
